We’re looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer. The work location for this position is Burnaby, British Columbia, and is considered a fully remote role.

This is a contractor position.

The Opportunity:

As a member of the web teams within the Buyer Experience Group, you will have a major impact on designing, building, and maintaining the web UI and backend systems of one of the largest B2B marketplaces worldwide. You will be working alongside engineers to write highly optimized front-end applications supporting the Ritchie Bros. App ecosystem.

In this role you’ll:

Implement fully visualized screens provided by our design team, conforming to our front-end development standards using, JavaScript, React and graphql
Implement backend services and applications using Java and Spring
Work on backend infrastructure utilizing an AWS stack of Appsync, Dynamo DB, Aruora DB and Lambda in conjunction with Node.js
Collaborate with architects, front-end developers and back-end developers in conceptualizing and developing high performing web systems
Build reusable front-end components and abstractions
Actively support the RB Unreserved Commitment to Safety: to send everyone home, every day, the way they came to work, by taking personal responsibility for your safety and safety of your team, co-workers and customers.

Here’s what you bring:

Support development of micro services using Springboot and Java
Support front end development using TypesScript and React
Support continuous delivery by ensuring a high quality standard and automation (unit, integration and functional)

Individual compensation packages are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including geographic location, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
Based on the national average, the anticipated base salary range for this role is $145,600 per year.
