We’re looking for an  IT Contractor - Senior Software Engineer. The work location for this position is Omaha NE, and is eligible for a fully remote or hybrid work arrangement. 
 
This is a contractor position.
 
The Opportunity:
 
We aim big, the team recently transformed into the Platform Team that provides best practices, technical solutions, and governance of Kafka across the enterprise. We help other technical teams on their developer journey to event-driven awesomeness. We’re looking for a generalist who can write clean code, loves discussing and learning about great technical architecture, swoons at the thought of dissecting our Kafka automation framework, and can self-manage running with exploratory testing of ready tickets.


In this role you’ll: 

  • Take ownership of parts of our microservices architecture
  • Deep prior experience building software in a professional, multi-team, environment
  • Skills in building and maintaining scalable, fault-tolerant products
  • Knowledge of Agile and the full software development lifecycle, including deployment and operation
  • Be dedicated to the quality of your work through unit testing, automation testing, and assisting our 3-tier support staff when incidents arise
  • Actively support the RB Unreserved Commitment to Safety: to send everyone home, every day, the way they came to work, by taking personal responsibility for your safety and safety of your team, co-workers, and customers.    
 
Here’s what you bring:
  • At least five (5) years of .NET Development leveraging .NET 4.x, ASP.NET, C#, MVC, Web API, SQL Server, and Entity Framework
  • HTML5, CSS, Restful web services, JQuery, Bootstrap, JS, and JSON
  • Database designing, database performance, management, and tuning experience
